Autism and Neurodiversity. My films Ode, The Story Of Ice and The Girl Bunnies are created from and for neurodivergence. Non-verbal communication is the dominant form. For many people on the autism spectrum, there is an internal mode of communication, which is often non-linear and sometimes non-verbal. Communicating through art, music, movement, and silence is part of my culture. Ode is a film that speaks to the core of my autism; it is a story that is driven through sense and created within patterns. It is not a linear narrative, it does not contain people, characters or words, yet the story is full. Autism in a neurotypical world is often one of constant translation between one mode of communication and another. The film Ode is not translated. It is an autistic film.

Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention for Youth. The Story Of Ice is a non-verbal film that brings awareness to the crushing impact assault has on each victim and the shockwave that goes through a family. It brings to the forefront that the healing of a person and the change in societal norms must stem and be propelled by the larger community. A community that works diligently through love, empathy, knowledge and compassion.

LGBTQ+ films for young children. The Girl Bunnies films have been shown at film festivals, children's festival programming and in classrooms (Kindergarten to grade 6) bringing awareness to diversity of families, gender identity and orientation. Representation matters. All of the main characters in the Girl Bunnies films are LGBTQ+. These are stories of love and adventure. There are four films.
